Bioskop: Review Boboiboy The Movie

Selepas lebih 2 minggu di pawagam, akhirnya dapat juga aku bawa wife dan anak-anak pergi menonton the most talk about toon on local cinema none other than Boboiboy The Movie.

Honestly aku tak follow sangat Boboiboy Tv series the same way I do watch Upin & Ipin which is almost on very single day and night hahaha.

But still aku layan gak bila terplay on TV sebab unlike Upin & Ipin, Boboiboy cuma aired on TV3 on particular day so limit sikit peluang nak menontonnye, begitupun both my kids Hana & Hadi kenal and gemar animasi ni so aku ada strong case to go and watch its movie aside of just to support local animation production.

Anticipation was not so high tho so many good review and critics on social media for the movie. Because I do understand limitations they have as compared to their international giant counterpart namely Disney or Pixar. Pergi nak entertain kids je, surely my 3 and 2 years old kids are would not really mine with any graphic, animation, sound system bla3….so long that it is Boboiboy.

Opening dia layan gak la…a bang start dengan aksi geng tengkotak yg sedang mengejar kelamkabot. Aku bukan xpert and lansung x pandai bab animasi and grafik tapi biasa tengok animation movie. Kelamkabot is a damn nice creation to me….ada unsur2 transformers yg kuat dan convincing, takla nampak macam Tobot.

Babak pakcik yang sedang memancing tengah laut tu pun nicely done, reminds me to film monster house cuma bila pulau terapung tu muncul, obvious lah gap yang masih ada utk local production. Element realistic utk unsur nature tu belum sempurna but it close cuma lack of wow factor. Perhaps the color scheme I don’t know.

Babak lawan semua menarik dan kemas, memang berjuta-juta frame mereka guna rasanya untuk hasilkan setiap aksi….details to the max. Just falling short dgn overall cinematography je to me, rasa macam tengok TV…semua best takde apa yg kurang but the feeling is like not watching movie, if u no what I mean. Especially babak yg too comical like masa ado do and papa zola larikan diri and left dash line tu, serious kelakar tp tak perlu utk filem. Rasa macam tengok Oggie and The Coakroach. Again to me je.

Plot cerita ala2 Dragon Ball, watak gaganaz tu reminds me strongly to pendekar suruhan Fliza named Zoula kalau tak silap, siap boleh berubah lagi and look so similar. Tengkotak tu ala2 Fliza la. Datang bumi cari sfera kuasa aka mutiara naga. Jumpa Bobooiboy yang coincidentally ada ochobot aka Goku yg simpan mutiara naga warisan atuknya Gohan… Kuasa teleport tu sama macam jurus pergerakan sejenak mahadewa kiou. Well its maybe me je yg nampak all those kesamaan tu but at least that was how I feel. Still it’s not a bad thing.

In overall, film ni tetap worth to watch and tak menghampakan. Unlike again Upin & Ipin….aku tak rasa nak ulang tengok banyak kali la kot sebab tengok sekali dah puas.
